About Zoe
Zoe is a former professional athlete, softball coach of 12+ years, challenge-seeker, and clinical counsellor. She passionately integrates her knowledge and experience to support people working through difficult phases of challenge and change. Zoe's work supports a range of individuals from competitive athletes, driven individuals with high performance demands and pressures, and people navigating emotionally challenging experiences including conflicts in relationships, dealing with loss, burnout, and low self-esteem. Zoe understands how people's internal wounds and dilemmas can disrupt the beautiful outer worlds we know we are meant to thrive in. She aim to help people on their journey of becoming a more empowered, confident, and compassionate-self.
"I aim to help driven-minded, broken-hearted, highly accomplished, and sometimes lost individuals meet and thrive with compassion, confidence, and courage."
Zoe spent her former years working in youth care and support including various roles in private education. Before this, she competed at the collegiate and international level abroad in softball where she learned how to train to compete and perform under pressure without losing her sense of identity. Through her passion in coaching that evolved naturally, she has helped children, teens, and adults across the continent develop skills and confidence. Zoe dedicated much of her time overseas to learn a new language to further her ability to share her knowledge and passion with others.
Now, Zoe specializes in supporting people in high-pressure environments, navigating the highs and lows of competitive sport, and confronting the fears and insecurities that keep people stuck or unfulfilled. Zoe believes in the power of resilience and mental strength to perform under stress, remain composed through life's surprises, and the ability to tackle challenges thrown your way with grace and compassion. Zoe also knows that as strong and adequate as we may be, vulnerability and sharing your struggle with those that can support you is vital. Through rich and deep life experiences and her education in mental health and performance, she's a firm believer that people's abilities and potential are found and enhanced through having the right support in our corner.
Zoe strives to create a warm, curious, and empowering environment for individuals seeking counselling or mental performance coaching with her. She uses person-centered, emotion-focused, dialectical behaviour, sport and performance psychology, positive psychology, and psychodynamic therapeutic modalities.
